Torrance County New Mexico approves anti-wolf resolution

It would appear the Mentality in Torrance County is that of Ferry County in Washington State. I am still amazed that they think cattle are more important than our Environment. After all Ranchers showed up much later than our wildlife. The Torrance County Commission approved a resolution at its regular meeting on Oct. 12 opposing the reintroduction of the Mexican gray wolf in the county. There are no plans to place any wolves in the county, but the Commission chose to respond to an audit from the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Inspector General’s Office of the Mexican Gray Wolf [...]

Feds and states clash over Mexican wolf management

SADLY, some of the most genetically diverse individuals have been killed because of conflicts with ranchers. This is a PRIME example of where Protect The Wolves® Sanctuary using Native American Religious Rights could have stepped in to Preserve the Bloodlines, rather than let them be Killed at the request of Ranchers! You don’t expect a report from the Interior Department’s inspector general to be interesting, let alone insightful, but the newly released Investigative Report of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Mexican Wolf Program manages to be both. The 17-page report was ordered by U.S. Rep. Steven Pearce, R-N.M., [...]
