Protect The Wolves™ is Investigating the Legal aspects in Idaho on this Organization. It appears that they are claiming they are working with IDFG, which should be illegal in itself. We need to let IDFG know we dissapprove of their working with this Organization, then take them to court to get them SHUT DOWN!!!

Managing Wolves is Expensive and Hard Work according to these ruthless killers

F4WM helps hunters and trappers actively manage wolves by reimbursing them for their operational costs. Trappers easily spend thousands of dollars in fuel, time, and effort while continously checking traps in the backcountry. Without their dedication, wolf populations will continue to reach unacceptable levels and unglulate populations will continue to decline.

The Foundation For Wildlife Management is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote ungulate population recovery in areas negatively impacted by wolves.

Mission:

F4WM has removed 300+ wolves with just over $150,000 member dollars…that’s less than $520 per wolf. It costs the US Dept of Agriculture’s Wildlife Services, an average of $4,600 of taxpayer dollars for each wolf they remove.

Our Efficiency is Unmatched

Harvest Reimbursement

We work with Sportsmen and Idahos Predator Biologist to determine what areas Idaho Ungulates (Moose, Elk, & Deer) have been most negatively impacted by wolf predation. We then designate reimbursement zones based on those and other factors. December 1st to March 31st have proven to require more time, energy and financial investment for hunters to be successful. Where as a person may stumble upon a wolf while Elk or Deer hunting during the fall hunting season with very little invested. At the same time, Trappers consistently spend more due to mandatory trap check times, which require more time in the field. For these reasons we designate reimbursement amounts accordingly.

2017-2018 Season Reimbursement Amounts

Statewide

  • Any legal trapped Idaho wolf $500

  • Any legal hunted Idaho wolf $250

  • Any legally hunted Idaho wolf Dec 1-March 31 $500

Increased reimbursement zones:

(Valid for all trapped wolves. Valid for all hunted wolves Dec 1 to March 31)

  • All of Units 1, 4, 4a = $750 per wolf

  • All of Unit 10, 12 = $1000 per wolf

     The Reimbursement Process

There are 3 main requirements to be eligible for reimbursement.

  1. Your membership must be authorized prior to harvest

  2. Upon harvesting, send us a copy of your expense receipts for the amount you wish to be reimbursed for (up to the amount offered for the unit your harvest took place in).

  3. Include with your receipts a copy of your Idaho Fish and Game check in slip proving it was a legal harvest.

When you meet those 3 requirements, we process your reimbursement and send you a check. You keep the Wolf.

They are already on it if you have been following our page for an you would know that already. That is why we keep every single article that we have ever done for people to view our archives.

  2. This is not Right! They deserve to live on this Earth too! They have families too! We need to work together, and save our Wolves! STOP THE TRAPPING! SO VERY CRUEL AND INHUMANE!

  3. Yea the wolf is a spiritual animal that sings to the moon and heavens. God gave them a voice to be heard and man should listen. You kill for food and the wolf is not human food. This is a sin to kill and put OUR wildlife in pain and suffering. In the eyes of the Lord this can’t be food. THIS IS A SHAME AND DISGRACE!!! PLEASE SAVE OUR WOLVES!!!

  4. Shame on you, Idaho! Wolves are a vital part of your local habitats. Wolves provide income from tourism, and help support other diversity. We have no reason to be hunting them!

  5. Tell the stinking ranchers to stop baiting our wolves. It is all about $$$$. Between the fish and game dept., the ranchers are killing off the innocent wolf……Stop eating beef, as it is,a major cause of colon . Cancer. The colon has,a hard time breaking down the beef……We must save our wolves. They balance our Eco System.

  6. The science shows that wolves promote healthy populations of prey species. Just because hunters have to actually hunt for the deer when they’re being preyed upon does not mean the deer are in a decline. Increased human hunting, starvation, and wasting sickness will put the deer into a decline, not predators.
