Profanity Peak Pack

Native Americans are still outraged over WDFW Blatantly Discriminating against our Religious Rights, as they have given us by Tribal Treaty Rights. It is not just Washington State Tribes, it is against all Native American Tribes they continue to do so against. This Discrimination occurs in every single state that we speak out for our Sacred Wildlife

It’s been a deplorable 60 Days in Washington State, at the hands of those that seem to think it is acceptable to Slaughter our Sacred Wolves from Above!

“Almost 12 percent of the state’s fledgling wolf population was Slaughtered from the sky in just a few days.”

This included Snipers on the Ground, including helicopter gunners , their use of traps,  perhaps even poisons, that have slaughtered over half of Washington state’s Profanity Peak wolf pack, and have put the rest of the pack in the crosshairs. Washington State DISCRIMINATED against Native American Religious rights to do so with their failure to recognize our Native American Religious Rights Act

The now shattered wolf family has incurred the loss of the breeding alpha female and five other members. All that’s left is an adult male and a few 4-month-old pups, which the WDFW has now thought to Call it Humane in leaving the last adult to care for 4 pups. These Animals should be released to our Native American Religious Group Protect The Wolves®. Donny Martorello has in essence signed the pups Death Warrant with only 1 adult left to care for these babies.

The situation with the Profanity Peak pack highlights much of what’s wrong with our Government along with their success to sweep Native American Religious Rights into a deep dark corner, with how they manage conflicts between recovering wolf populations and livestock grazing.

Rather than guarantees us these ranchers are using proven non-lethal measures to the fullest extent to avoid losses, they instead blame wolves for doing what wolves have always done, namely preying on ungulates, then slaughter  them whenever cattle are lost, in an area that cattle do not belong in the first place.

If these non-lethal measures are not forced upon these Ranchers to be used to reduce the risk of losing cattle in the first place, then the whole vicious cycle by McIrvrin has been proven to repeat itself once more wolves moved back in. It is Protect The Wolves® that now elected officials in Washington State have been plotting this particular Wolf Slaughter since 2014. The Article to back this statement up will soon be published later today, that will shed the necessary light on the illegal formed Quad County Commissioner group, as well as the individual County groups of haters.

In the case of the Profanity Peak pack, these McIvrins cows were being grazed on public lands in a high risk area, perhaps a few deterrence measures were being utilized according to Dr. Robert Wielgus of the large carnivore lab at Washington State University in an earlier statement to the Seattle Times, the rancher in question, Len McIrvin,  has repeatedly refused to enter into a “cooperative damage prevention agreement” to work with state wolf researchers to avoid conflicts and was grazing his cows over a known den site,  this loss of cows was “predictable and avoidable according to Donny Martorello, who went along with this terrible wrong doing by WDFW.”

Len McIvrin continues to throw it in your face by adding insult to injury, we’ve been here before! It was reported to us by a Very Reliable Source, that while they were at a meeting in Colville with the previous WDFW management, that Len McIrvin snatched up the Microphone at a meeting and walked around the meeting ranting at the members of WDFW. We here at Protect The Wolves® will no longer condone this act by Len McIrvrin, will fight this until our last breath, to show that his attitude has no place in the Management of our Sacred Wildlife, we will continue to fight against those like McIrvrin and Cliven Bundy as long as they refuse to honor their words, like the one Rider that promised to call us on August 16th, to work with us, and not against us. We will continue to bring the Press, and more Tribal support to bear on this issue until it is solved to our satisfaction which will perpetuate the Lives of our Wildlife, and not the Sacred Cow!

We here at Protect The Wolves® have to ask why those individuals allowed this “Famous WELFARE RANCHER” to intimidate them? In 2012 McIrvin had seven members of the Wedge pack Slaughtered in response to cattle losses, that most likely was done much in the same calculating method this pack was slaughtered.

These terrible attitudes highlight a fundamental problem with killing wolves to protect cows. We were asked by friends in Ferry County to tone down our stories a bit, however I do not see the National Media placing enough focus on these terrible acts by a group of Welfare Ranchers quite yet. Does anyone know the meaning of this term Welfare Rancher? It is a Rancher that depends on being able to graze his Cattle for next to nothing on “YOUR” public lands because he or she does not own a parcel large enough to raise them on his own. Thereby taking advantage of not only you the taxpayer to line his pockets with profit via the almost free AUM fee, he then gets you the Taxpayer to front the money to pay for his causing the problems to the Natural Wildlife that reside there by having them Aerially slaughtered from above.

Earlier this year, WDFW did enact a protocol whereby it will not kill wolves until there has been loss or injury of four cows in a calendar year and unless the rancher who lost cattle is removing dead cows that may attract wolves to the area and carrying out at least one deterrence measure. It is still the Position of many on the Wolf Advisory Group, that Tribes did want to be in their little group. Well, Senator John McCoys request to WDFW to stop all lethal action against wolves  throughout the state certainly pops that little balloon they tried to float by you. Protect The Wolves® is Focused directly on these groups that do not seem to care openly about our Sacred Wildlife, they are gathering the necessary Tribal support already that proves to all that they have a desire to be part of a solution, rather than part of their current layout of condoning “Death From Above.”

Although WDFW appeared to take a step in the right direction, there are a numerous problems with their approach. First and foremost, simply requiring a rancher to do any “single” measure fails to ensure that non-lethal deterrence measures that are likely to be effective are being utilized. while the one weak attempt at a measure McIrvin did take was to delay release of cow calf pairs was not enough in our minds eye that he tried to do anything constructive in avoiding conflict at all.  Then for him to wait until cows were already lost, he apparently added a range rider,  People if your a person with a conscience, you will do anything that you can to avoid any type of conflict from the beginning, not after it is already too late! Especially given that the Forest Service did not terminate this Grazing Allotment, which is well withing their right to do so, McIvrin was grazing his cows over a known den site, however, McIvrins one measure, of waiting had little chance of success, then his second, after loss occurred had no success.

There was a far better approach which was utilized in Oregon, where it required ranchers to work with the state to develop a conflict deterrence plan for these specific grazing allotments then they enact measures with a proven high likelihood of success.

The second problem with the approach is that it fails to place the cost where it belongs, on the Rancher, and not on you the Taxpayer through building enough tolerance for minor losses of cattle to wolves. The McIvrin’s approach of killing wolves in response to cattle losses is based on the fundamentally flawed idea that once wolves start preying on cows, they will switch to singularly focusing on them and the situation will quickly escalate, but this is often not the case. Which also seemed to be a theme of WDFW’s flawed Wolf Advisory Group. Protect The Wolves®  has no desire to tear them apart piece by piece, but the reasons for doing so constantly present the required need to do so.

” Wolves, typically cause a small fraction of cattle loss, “.023%”, then with disease, accidents and even lightning causing many more deaths. ” Wolf loss on a comparable chart appears to be a pencil line, while other causes take in pie slice and larger sizes.

WDFW’s lame policy of only requiring four injuries, or losses in an entire year which could happen in a single depredation event, then tragically starts with the Aerial Slaughtering of wolves at taxpayer expense, could have been avoided had WDFW accepted our July 19th Proposal.

This Welfare Rancher Mentality, began earlier even than 1492 is quite problematic on our public lands, where the American public has “The Public Trust Doctrine” to protect us along with The Native American Tribal Sovereignty Trust, has led us to an atrocity and one that should not be allowed to occur again in any state including Washington.
