Pioneer Rancher Mentality

Bison have been mismanaged ever since Government began interfering

These Bison, Rather than being Slaughtered at the request of Greedy Ranchers, should be relocated to other Federal lands where they were once prior to Government Interference!

Ranchers are the main enemy of all wildlife with their some how dreamt up thought of entitlement with their leases on public land and hostility to the wild and interruption of wildlife corridors.

Moving bison to other public land also insures biodiversity and need not be just limited to Montana. Bison have already been successfully relocated.  Its Not rocket science people, Bison is a keystone species (good for other wildlife ecology), iconic, symbolic of wilderness and much loved worldwide. Wildlife belongs to all Americans under the Public Trust Doctrine, all the world in a sense, and to itself, a precious heritage to be preserved. Ranchers leasing public land need to allow wildlife corridors, need to be mandated to follow a list of Deterrents, and coexist with wildlife, or else have their leases terminated!! Bison are an just example.

The Missoulian wrote that George Wuerthner’s recent (Dec. 20) guest column “Save Yellowstone bison from slaughter,” complaining about population control of Yellowstone National Park bison, fails to recognize one of the most significant conservation issues in the West – overgrazing of Yellowstone’s magnificent Northern Range.

What they fail to mention is that our Forest Resources being overgrazed by Ranchers are the Primary cause of destruction to our Environment! The Missoulian should be ashamed of themselves for calling out Georges Excellent Article!!

Large NPOS that somehow seem to think it is ok for Ranchers to keep leases, are in our opinion, playing both sides of the fence. Those that Compromise like they did in Washington State this year, should be ashamed to call themselves advocates. Our Wildlife, their grasses, plants, water, were there long before these self proclaimed Entitled Ranchers! Step Up Ranchers and begin to Volunteer for a deterrent list, or your showing the world you only care about yourselves!

Join the Native American Voice that those same NPOS laughed at when we were told would never gain Tribal Support! We have a news flash for you, Protect The Wolves® is coming to a city near you with Tribal Support!
