If the Public wants this case in Court, they need to help us Grow our Voice. It is beyond time to begin to right the wrongs against our wildlife.

Protect The Wolves™ spoke with USFWS Wolf program manager on 9/25/2017. Asked her had a current NEPA been done prior to issuing slaughter order for “Phoenix”. Her response was is they are running on their initial NEPA from 2012, 13 or 2014. Which after consulting with a retired EPA Retired Supervisor, they have informed us that this is not proper protocol, nor is it legal. Had a proper NEPA been done, in order to add strength to the breeding program, USFWS could have captured  “Phoenix” and sent her to a captive Breeding Program. Investigating all options under NEPA is in Fact Federal requirement. But then USFWS think they are above the law.

Further today we spoke with The White Mountain Apache Game and Fish Department.   We then called White Mountain Apache Tribe and spoke with Chadwick on 9/26/2017 at approximately 9:29 AM, in their Game and Fish Department. Chadwick informed us that USFWS had contacted them initially regarding the wolf. It had been traveling on and off the Reservation. and the tribe only told them according to Chadwick that something needed to be done about this animal. Not the other way around as has been reported by other sources.

It is getting more rampant by arms of the government that continue to Violate Due Process, We were informed by Sherry Barrett Mexican Gray Wolf Program manager that USFWS did not do a current NEPA prior to issuing a kill order on “Phoenix” the Mexican Gray Wolf in Arizona, that they operated off of the initial NEPA, which we have been informed by a Retired EPA attorney was not proper…. there was no current searchable NEPA filed online when we searched it.
This animal should have been caught and returned to strengthen the breeding program rather than being Slaughtered… Needless to say that the slaughter took place by USFWS upon the White Mountain Apache Indian Reservation according to Chadwick.
The BIAs responsibility is to protect our Tribal Trust Resources for Tribes and or Tribal Members it is my understanding as stated under the BIA Mission Statement
1.)What can you do to insure that our Trust and treaty laws are not again broken by the USFWS in issuing slaughter orders without performing a Current NEPA?
2.)Is there anything you can do to assist us in this current matter of their willful disregard for following NEPA properly?
An Animal take is not authorized under new USFWS policy, and as such these organizations need to be brought out into the public’s eye for knowingly and willfully breaking the LAW!
