Wyoming’s Congressional Delegation blatantly disregards their Public Mandates

Protect The Wolves™ Pack is placing U.S. Senator John Barrasso, U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, U.S. Congressman Liz Cheney, on Notice that they are not managing the Sacred Resources properly as mandated under the Public Trust. Clearly they are managing solely for the Special Interest of the Cattle Rancher and Trophy Hunter. As Such they have no place holding Office!!

Wyoming’s congressional delegation is unanimously applauding the formal decision to lifted endangered species protection for wolves in Wyoming and return the management of Wyoming’s wolves back to the state. The U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Washington D.C. entered the order on Tuesday.

The Congressional response was not surprising. U.S. Senator Mike Enzi applauded the order.

“This order means a lot to the state of Wyoming and brings wolf conservation back to where it belongs. It is Wyoming wildlife managers who know best how to manage Wyoming’s wildlife. I applaud all those who have worked so hard with stakeholders and the federal government over the years to create an effective and balanced wolf management plan.”

U.S. Congressman Liz Cheney said it is welcome news.

“…to Wyoming’s ranchers, sportsmen, and outfitters, but also serves as a reminder that state agencies are in the best position to manage wildlife. Allowing liberal environmentalists to abuse the Endangered Species Act to perpetuate a culture of ‘management by litigation’ threatens our wildlife, property rights, and people. Wyoming’s wolf management plan is a result of years of hard work by leaders and citizens across Wyoming. The federal government needs to get out of the way and allow local experts to implement programs that meet the unique needs of their state’s wildlife. I look forward to continuing my work in Congress to ensure species population management in Wyoming is conducted in a way that serves the best interests of our state.”

U.S. Senator John Barrasso, who is chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, concurs.

“This court mandate now puts the management of the wolf where it should have been all along, under the control of Wyoming, not Washington.”

The Wyoming Wolf Management plan designates wolves as predators that can be shot on sight, in all but the Trophy Game Management Area in Northwestern Wyoming, which is subject to hunting seasons. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department says there is not an active hunting season in place.

  1. It’s pretty laissez-faire for the feds to allow crazy murderers to shoot wolves on sight in WY.
Now, this policy used to be that of early California settlers (Alta California, after that war in 1848) toward Native Peoples, Griz, Wolves,, anything they pointed their toy killing things at.

So, it’s disturbing news to me that this habit remains.
Some of WY is magnificent mountains and valleys (I’m thinking of Bighorns, Tetons, Wind Rivers. Can the author write about policies in the Wind River Rez?). Other parts – high plains polluted by fences, pickup trucks, and towns built around (it seems) bars (well, Walmarts, as in a town named after some guy who killed more bison than are now alive) seem not so very friendly to anyone.

Again, wolves don’t, cannot know the boundaries set by those who claim land. They should rightly remain protected from irascible settlers with guns. Wyoming has one excessively powerful House of Reps member and two Senators.

Humans forget that these are NOT “leaders”, but individuals who crassly sought control. Supposed they are to represent ALL, and some decisions should not be taken without all agreeing.Breaks us apart, and the only real overwhelming lust I ever felt was to eat the hearts of the cruel.

Seems that kind people who feel relationship, feel psychopaths are flawed, while the same stone-hearts feel that the compassionate are flawed.
You decide. I’ve seen throats and legs torn right up close, but never could tolerate the heartless pull of triggers. by obese minds cold as icewater.

  2. Why do we continue such practices? Animals know no boundaries. They migrate with the seasons for food to survive just as all the creatures of the forest. Stop killing our Wildlife to satisfy GREED OF EXTRACTION COMPANIES AND SPECIAL INTERESTS GROUPS. We have a circle of life to protect all of us from disease’s, and in keeping our water, lands and air clean. What is happening with this current government is so wrong and has set us back 75 years or better.. We are on the road to desolation, and genocide. We must stop this now. I can’t believe after all this hard work that you would backslide to this nature. Co existence is key.
