It is a severe lack of Transparency that this New Packs name wasn’t even mentioned in their Update. Then you see Joel Kretz claiming that confirmed depredations were dropped to possible…. It appears that Kretz was just outed as a Liar by WDFW.
Until all of the wannabe Conservation Groups begin to wake up and request WDFW to request those problem Grazing Allotments be closed with Travis Fletcher USFS, as they should have from the very beginning these issues will be allowed to continue by those that have Rolled Over.
WDFW: Between Sept. 5-7, WDFW documented five confirmed wolf depredations on calves in the territory formerly occupied by the Profanity Peak pack. The depredations resulted in one dead and four injured calves.
Local WDFW staff are working to document the details of those depredations and identify additional non-lethal measures to deter further wolf depredations.
WDFW Director Kelly Susewind said the situation is evolving quickly, and more details will be provided early next week on the depredations, the deterrent measures used in the area, and the department’s response.
The department estimates the new pack has three or four adults and two or three pups.
