Sandy Updyke sounds like a SLOB HUNTER!!
There have been a few letters and columns in the paper about wolf hunting, wolf trapping and the reinstatement of federal protections for wolves under the Endangered Species Act. To the Humane Society of the U.S. officials who wrote two commentaries published recently by the News Tribune, I would say: Know what you are talking about before writing. A lot of your commentaries were just so much Humane Society propaganda.
Especially telling were comments about leg-hold traps. They are foot-hold traps. Properly used, they catch a wolf across its toes, doing no harm. How do you think they catch wolves to radio-collar them for study?
