James St Goddard Speaks for Wolves and Buffalo

Our Wolves and Buffalo need James St Goddard! A Native American that is not afraid to speak his mind when it comes to our wildlife!

The 2016 election is more than 16 months away, but the race for Montana’s lone seat in the U.S. House already has its first candidate.

James St. Goddard, a former Blackfeet Tribal Council member, announced he’s running for Congress as a Democrat.
“Today is a joyful day,” St. Goddard said. “Today I send this message to the children of this state: that a leader has stepped forward to put his neck out for all the people of Montana, not just the Republicans or the Democrats.”

St. Goddard’s announcement, on the state capitol steps Tuesday afternoon, was light on details, but he says his goal is to bring people together rather than dividing them. He’s running to replace freshman Republican Ryan Zinke.

“He’s focused on just a few things. That’s the best way I could put it. I want to be focused on everything. I want to represent all of Montana, not just one party,” said St. Goddard.

Zinke, who’s been in office less than six months, hasn’t said whether he’s running for a second term. His office issued a statement saying only, “Right now Congressman Zinke is focused on passing comprehensive timber reform and being the best Congressman he can be for the people of Montana.”
