Mexican Gray Wolf, Mexican Gray Wolves

It Saddens me that animals have to be in a zoo …. but I am happy that at least they are safe there….

Brookfield Zoo has its first litter of Mexican gray wolves.

The zoo announced Tuesday that the pups had emerged from their den at the Regenstein Wolf Woods habitat. They were born in late May to mother Zana and father Flint; it is the first litter for each. Mexican gray wolves are the rarest and most genetically distinct subspecies of North American gray wolves.
