If we fail to act these acts from all states will continue…
Four wolves were killed last week for attacks on livestock. But another pack of attacking wolves was spared that fate.
A major reason ODFW moved to eliminate the four wolves from the Imnaha Pack, Morgan said, was the high likelihood that those wolves would attack again.
Livestock operators had already tried non-lethal control measures, he said. Perhaps even more important, the spring calving season had just begun and the wolves were living near the livestock and with many cattle roaming nearby. Two of the wolves were very old or injured, and appeared to be relying on the livestock for food.
“Even more cattle and sheep will be on these lands soon as calving and lambing season continues,” Morgan said, “That increases the risk for even more losses from this group of depredating wolves.”

What do ranchers expect having their livestock deliberately near where where wolves live. Of course, the likelihood of an attack would occur under these conditions. Ranchers, move your livestock to a different location.
