PROPOSED LEGISLATION WOULD JEOPARDIZE WOLVES, UNDERMINE ENDANGERED SPECIES ACT

URGENT! PLEASE TAKE ACTION TODAY!  There are political attacks on wolves and the Endangered Species Act—one of our nation’s most effective, popular laws—are at odds with the will of the American public!

Oppose  S.164 – A bill to direct the Secretary of the Interior to reissue the final rules relating to the listing of the gray wolf in the Western Great Lakes and the State of Wyoming under the Endangered Species Act of 1973

Oppose  H.R.  424  To direct the Secretary of the Interior to reissue final rules relating to listing of the gray wolf in the Western Great Lakes and Wyoming under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, and for other purposes.

Oppose  H.R.717 – To amend the Endangered Species Act of 1973 to require review of the economic cost of adding a species to the list of endangered species or threatened species, and for other purposes.

Oppose S.368   Mexican Gray Wolf Recovery Plan Act. The deceptively named “Mexican Gray Wolf Recovery Plan” aims to allow special interest and Arizona and New Mexico. These states have repeatedly obstructed Lobo recover efforts to intervene in Mexican gray wolf recovery planning. There are only about 110 Lobo’s left

Oppose S.1514  A bill they are calling the HELP for Wildlife Act. It is everything but that!  Contrary to its name—devastate wolves and weaken federal wildlife protections. The toxic legislation proposes to permanently remove federal Endangered Species Act (ESA) protections for gray wolves in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Wyoming, to allow trophy hunting of wolves to immediately resume within these states. To add insult to injury, the bill prohibits its judicial review thus preventing any legal challenge.
