Tell Congress to Keep Wolves Protected

Wolves symbolize America’s wildest icons. These highly intelligent, family oriented creatures pair for life and raise their pups using extended family groups. But for hundreds of years, these beautiful animals have been vilified by those who would rather see them hunted as trophies than celebrated alive.

In the short time since federal protections for wolves were removed, trophy hunters and trappers have killed more than 1,700 wolves in the Great Lakes region and Wyoming. Recently, two federal courts ordered the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) to place wolves in these areas back under the protections of the Endangered Species Act (ESA). But now, anti-wolf members of Congress are considering a misguided attempt to continue the assault against our wolves — and we must act now to protect them.

TAKE ACTION

Please make a brief, polite phone call to your two U.S. Senators and your U.S. Representative and urge them to keep wolves protected. Look up your legislator’s phone number. You can say: “I am a constituent, and I am calling to ask you to oppose any legislation to remove wolves from the Endangered Species Act.”

After making your phone calls (please do not skip that crucial step!), fill in and submit the form below to automatically send a follow-up message. Legislators receive a lot of email, so be sure to edit your message so it stands out.
