Turkish Kangal dog A DOG normally used to fight off wolves and bears in its native Turkey is on the loose in Croydon after savaging a teenage girl. The giant Turkish Kangal dog, which can weigh up to 12-stone and can run at speeds of up to 30mph, is being hunted by police after it attacked 19-year-old Dannielle Morgan in Croydon, south London, last week. Cops are still hunting the dog after it leapt on the teenager on August 18 – biting her on the neck, legs and back during a five-minute attack in which it attacked her three times. The teen was only saved when two workmen grabbed her and pulled her into their van as one of them tried to fend the dog off.
