Protect Montana Wolves

Go let this Montana Hunting Guide know whats up!! This Guy thinks that Advocates are paying off Politicians…. I seriously cant believe this Paper printed this dribble….

Dear Editor,

The Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife & Parks and the Montana Fish & Wildlife Commission are two different critters. Our FW&P Department presents wildlife management proposals to five, governor appointed, F&W Commissioners. Commission meeting minutes regarding wolves, 2007 through 2015 are available, 406-444-7826. Get a copy, it’s interesting history.

At their July 14, 2011 meeting, Schweitzer appointee Bob Ream moved and Moody seconded, establishing a three wolf quota north of Yellowstone National Park. On July 9, 2015, Bullock appointee Gary Wolfe moved and Stuker seconded reducing their quota to two wolves. Yellowstone Buffer Zone wolf quotas were instituted by F&W Commissioners at final season setting meetings. They were not proposed by the FW&P Department or sent out for comment.

On May 12, 2016, Department biologists proposed a six wolf quota and a Montana trapping quota of seven fisher. Commissioners rejected the Department’s proposal and put out two wolf and zero fisher quotas. Department biologists made no Yellowstone wolf quota proposals before their six wolf quota that was shot down by a Commission majority.

Do wolf advocacy groups and their ‘green decoys’ masquerading as sportsmen try to influence Montana politicians? Could Montana hunters and trappers be ‘sold down the river’ to placate national wolf advocacy outfits who couldn’t care less about Montana’s hunting heritage? Are environmental activists seeking more federal control over Montana resources, pouring political action cash (PAC money) into our governor’s reelection campaign? Does wolf predation impact Montana’s ungulate populations?

You decide!

  1. This paper should be reporting true facts not just lies and acuzations that advocates have a part in bribing the government this is appalling your paper would even report this kind of rubish. You should be reporting on the killing, torture and anguish the wolves are going through because of the government they are being slaughtered by helicopter, whole family packs are being killed for cattle depredations but yet the farmer still gets paid with the people’s tax money that the government takes from us to kill these wolves plus these farmers have not tried no non detourants methods in which they are supposed to do, the government representatives on the other hand is trying to put the protection of wolves which now is under federal protection they want to Remove the Endangered Species Act from wolves and put the state the wolves reside in charge this is a bad idea the http://pin.it/ztnqxeT representatives are not conservation experts that is what we pay the scientists for but the government is ignoring all facts from the scientists and doing what they themselves think should be done this is appalling. Nor do the representatives listen to the people are voice is loud and clear we want wolves protected but again they ignore the people and just do what they want, the government doesn’t even have accurate counts on the wolves but again they are carelessly killing . Wolves should stay under the Endangered Species Act they are needed for the environment the government states they are killing all their caribou, moose this is a misguided fact these animals dying from mismanagement and destruction of the forests due to logging and mining. The wolves are being treated unfairly and unjustly by our government
