A Very Sad Wolf fact: As of April of 2016, Some 4,000 – 4400 wolves have been slaughtered in just six states (6).
In these 6 states (Provided you rely on States Record Keeping) Wolf management has Turned full circle in just 50 years from extermination to recovery, then back to extermination again.
With States such as Wyoming being caught selling Banned Poisons… Is that safe? Legal? Why weren’t they charged with a crime? Wolves are Protected no longer with how many hundred gray wolves were put to death this season alone in these 6 States, with 2 of these states totaling around 500, and inaccuracies by states record keeping, A person can only Imagine……
An educated public can reverse this ill-informed turnaround, which is one reason we desire to create Protect The Wolves Sanctuary, based on a new approach, before we face their extinction once again, this time if Ranchers have their way, quite possibly for eternity. No, we do not think a Wolf living in a Sanctuary is right on any Level… But I for One would rather have a marked for Death wolf from Depredation live their Days out in one than being Aerially Slaughtered due to the greed of the Human race and number 1 cause of Destruction to our environment “Cattle” !
If we continue to allow the killing of these animals, the question is posed naturally : Did they bring them back from the dead just to kill them all over again???? Or was it truly to keep a Necessary part of our ecosystem from Extinction?
After all Extinction is forever. We as stewards of the land, its flora and fauna, should no longer be so cavalier about wiping out whole species for the convenience, or financial gain of farms, ranches, Cattle, or false Myths……
There are still a few states that have not rewritten their hunting/extermination protocols for wolves, a few have finally joined the chorus of scientists and animal experts who treasure the wolf as well as the preventing of this remarkably adaptive treasure from once again near extinction.
Protect The Wolves Sanctuary will fight for them to an end that enables them to at least Live and Breath for the rest their days as the Creator intended!
