We were in receipt of an email sent on March 15th from a Washington State Elected Official, who is also a Wolf Advisory Group Member today.

Here you can see the Mentality of Stevens County Elected Officials like Don Dashiell Cattle Rancher, Good Old Don is calling for all wolves to be slaughtered immediately upon a depredation. Don Dashiell also has that typical old West Rancher “Entitled” Mentality! Who somehow seems to think that grazing benefits the environment, and that Grazing allotments do not cost taxpayers any Money.

Donny Martorello made promises last year that he never followed thru with as it pertains to not only Our Religious Rights but our Treaty Rights as well. He will be shown how wrong he was with the power of the Indian Trust if you will all Join Us Today before it is to late for our States Wolves!! Martorello did not have to slaughter the profanity peak pack, they were offered from 2 different Organizations to cover the cost of the Live Trapping. He chose to turn the Mountains Blood Red with the Life force of Our Brothers and Sisters… Please Call Donny Martorello, and ask that they replace Don Dashiell IMMEDIATELY !! Donny can be reached at WDFW Headquarters (Olympia), 360 902-2200

Wolves do not need the likes of this bloodthirsty killer on Washington States Wolf Advisory Group. Contact Governor Jay Inslee and Demand Dashiells Immediate Replacement!

That said, I wanted to put forward the position of the stakeholders I am trying (unsuccessfully) to represent in this process. Simply put, they are tired of being the experimental population for a mythical vision put forward and enabled by people and groups who have no skin in the game and never intend to donate a portion of their livelihood, safety or time to have this imagined benefit to the ecosystem come true. The generations who have the history in their families to know what challenges were present decades or even centuries ago in this infested area never passed down any mention of large packs of artic wolves roaming the landscape. I have read the draft proposal. The desire of this stakeholder group is to have WDFW implement active management immediately in response to any depredation by wolves on any class of livestock, pets or people. “Active management to them means offender removal”. Trying to decide who the culprit is cannot take a long drawn out process that requires play by play or check in with non-responsible entities that will delay effective resolution to the crisis. Since you are wondering, offender removal means killing or translocating the guilty wolves so there is a stoppage to the smaller problem that we have always allowed to explode into an unmanageable disaster our people have had to endure since wolves have attained critical mass in Washington state. Anything short of that will be viewed as indifference to the struggles we face in this region.

  1. For the love of God, enough! Stop this travesty! Ranchers have been subsidized and given prominence for too long! They are not more important than the rest of us just because they produce beef! Cows are not sacred and actually degrade the environment. It us time to stop the madness and insist that welfare ranching be eliminated and the habitat be given back to the wildlife that belongs.

We are working towards Just that 😉 another large attorney group has expressed an interest in the information and research we have provided them recently which will allow us to incorporate the Indian Trust ..

  3. I believe in harmony but find this problem is only been one sided. Always the wolves in the wrong. Well I have seen videos of cattle grazing on public land but to make things much worst no common sense of ranchers putting a salt block near a wolf den. That is asking for trouble right there. Also finding out cattle have died from heat exhaustion because not responsible enough to fench them in for much more safety from all wildlife and accurate shade. The wolves and wildlife know by instinct to be able to deal with all weather but I think cattle not given a choice. I believe these ranchers are not responsible enough for the upkeep of their cattle and yet their demands are always number one in their favor not respected the wolves and wildlife given just so little to roam and be protected. To think these majestic animals have been here so many more years before humans came around and they now forced them on So little land.
