GOVERNER SIGNS RESOLUTION TO DELIST WOLVES, GRIZZLIES
Thursday (Mar. 3) at the Wyoming State Legislature the House passed a joint resolution calling on the U.S. Congress and U.S. Fish and Wildlife to remove the gray wolf and grizzly bear populations from listing under the endangered species act.
The resolution also called on Congress and USFW to assist in funding programs and services for gray wolf and grizzly bear management, and to compensate individuals and entities for losses caused by the species. It also called on Wyoming’s Secretary of State to transmit copies of the resolution to the U.S. President, Speaker of the U.S. House, the Wyoming U.S. Congressional Delegation, and the Director of the United States Fish & Wildlife Service.
The Bill received all yes votes in the House and Senate, although in the House there were several representatives excused from the vote.
