We are Beyond disappointed by this inaction by WGFD regarding this Grizzly Cub.
Grizzly Injured in a High Speed Accident on Togwotee near our Wyoming Grizzly Advisors Residence.

This is who we would ask you to contact, and who We have contacted. We have asked them to ascertain asap the status of bear 863 by using her radio collar to locate her. Otherwise why do they risk these bears lives to put on those damn collars if they are useless to locate the bear and at a time like this when the life of the cub is very much on the line.

We have asked them to do all within their power to save the life of the cub, which means if mom is dead save the cub, if mom is immobilized and dying save the cub.
We trust them about as far as We can spit! WAIT… no We can spit farther!! They may know the mortality signal is transmitting and claim ignorance until the cub dies. That is the easiest for them They have left the scene if they had an injured bear up there and potentially trying to get to a roadside cub that would not be wise would it!!!!!  So the more of us who let them know we are concerned and waiting for news on the bears the better and that we want the cub saved the better. A waiting game is dangerous right now. I pray 863 is a live and feeding her cub but it makes no sense based upon her past behavior that she feeds the cub only under cover of darkness. she breast fed the cub in the middle of the road surrounded by tourists.

  1. It is absolutely irresponsible to leave the scene of an accident not knowing the status of the Grizzly sow and her Cub!! These are precious lives to many citizens from all over the country!! They Must Not Be Ignored and left to DIE!! Enough of this type of ACTION is already in practice and NEEDS to CHANGE!! Humans don’t have all the answers, but really need to start showing responsibility, plus RESPECT for the WILDLIFE that resides in their state!! Otherwise SHAME ON YOU!!!
