LEWISTON, ID – Even though no wolves were killed at Idaho’s second Coyote and Wolf Derby, the event remains controversial.Lewiston resident Steve Stajkowski participated this year. He said despite pro-wolf groups protesting in Salmon, the event was unaffected and ran smoothly. “I first hand get to see the affect of these newly re-introduced wolves,” said Stajkowski. “And how they affect the ranchers down there and the herds. And I more than anything, if I kill a wolf or a coyote or not, I’m there to support that cause because I do see how destructive it is.”
