Goal: Protect the Endangered Species Act from Tea Party Republicans
Congressman Doc Hastings, a republican representative from Washington, recently used his position as Chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee to attack and threaten the Endangered Species Act. According to the United States Chamber of Commerce, Hastings is one of the top rated pro-business representatives in congress. Alternatively, he has an abysmal record when it comes to the environment and he received a 0% approval rating from the League of Conservation voters. We must demand that Representative Hastings use his position to benefit the environment, rather than corporate interests, in 2014.
