WDFW needs to deploy deterrents before depredations

In Ban Grazing Allotments, Oppose Welfare Ranching, Protect The Wolves by Twowolves1 Comment

protect the wolves, donny martorello

What will it take for WDFW and Ranchers to learn that deterrents are best used before a depredation to prevent such things… Are these Ranchers and WDFW trying to set Wolves up? That would make a person truly question their Motives. Obviously Martorello does not care about managing the public’s resources in the best interest of the public. He is blatantly disregarding any PTD mandates upon him…. It is time for Martorello to find a Different Job!

 Responsive measures: After the confirmed wolf depredation on August 31, FOX lights were installed along the west edge of the grazing pasture where wolves would likely approach from, and in the middle of the same pasture where the livestock bed at night. FOX lights were also installed on a second pasture about one mile away, where the producer has additional livestock. The department’s contracted range riders also increased human presence around the producer’s livestock on nearby grazing allotments

  1. This whole attitude and situation are deplorable and unacceptable.

It is not very smart to kill wolves. Science has proven that wolves are not only essential to a balanced ecosystem, but a keystone species. This ecosystem is what enables us to have life!

There are many of us who have been brought to God’s presence through the wolves’ spirituality. Look into their eyes and you will see. Spend time with them and you will know.

The wildlife and forests belong to the people, not special interest groups. A majority of us want to preserve them. Why are domestic animals running around in a wild setting without supervision? The predators are being baited and set up.

There are many very interesting solutions that allow peaceful coexistence. This is the direction we need to take if we are to preserve our earth.
