Different Helicopter than is being Used

The Ranger of Riverton reports that the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Wildlife Service has been using helicopters in the Wind River Mountains this week looking for the pack of wolves responsible for the killings.

Wyoming Ecological Services Deputy Field Supervisor Tyler Abbott says the pack believed to be responsible consists of seven adults and seven cubs. Two of the adult wolves were killed Friday and Wildlife Services is searching for two more.

Abbott says if the wolves continue to kill livestock in the area, he could order the extermination of the entire pack.

  1. “Abbott says if the wolves continue to kill livestock in the area, he could order the extermination of the entire pack.” What a guy! This cold hearted bastard is not who we need working for the DAWS. A cow is not worth killing off a species especially an endangered predator. Why because without the natural order of the Eco system if the large predators become extinct it has a massive, massive affect on the Eco system pecking order, the chain of command, the link that keeps the system going. Eventually. If this continues, it will wipe out man as well Stop being stupid, what you pay for bullets and to take out a chopper and pay a killer you could replace the calf over and over again for the next ten yrs. Get your shit together and act responsible instead of kissing ass to ranchers who will write the cow off as a loss anyway. They won’t lose a cent what happens is YOU WILL BE TO BLAME for killing of an entire species. Is that worth it and how has that been working out for you lately anyway??
